What are some of your favorite Star Wars books? Which do you recommend to read (and which do you recommend to stay away from )?

I'd HIGHLY recommend the Jedi Apprentice Series by Jude Watson. They're all about Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon before the Phantom Menace. Great stories! ;D

I love all Jude Watson's Jedi series. ;D Especially Jedi Apprentice (I think my favorite series) and Jedi Quest. "Last of the Jedi" has lots of characters, so sometimes I find it's hard to keep track. And I don't like Trevor. As for longer books, my favorite is "Labyrinth of Evil" by James Luceno. I also recommend the Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zhan. I don't read many post Return of the Jedi books, because most of them are crud, but "Tatooine Ghost" had a very unique story line and connected the Phantom Menace to the OT, which I really liked!

In fact I've resolved to just buy all of the Last of the Jedi books, and wait to read all of them until I have them all. Having to wait so long to get the next book makes me completely forget what happened in the last one. I've never heard of Tatooine Ghost but it sounds cool.

My little sister read all the Jedi series within like, a month, and when we get the next one there's no way I'm getting left out when she reads it. XD It's really good; it has Han and Leia in it. ;D And some characters from the Phantom Menace, but I won't give it away. The books I've read that were... terrible; the first that comes to mind is the Courtship of Princess Leia. That was my first experience with post-RotJ books, and I immediately stayed away from the rest, until Redfoxden got me to read the Thrawn trilogy, which I throughly enjoyed, and when Starwarsfanatic convinced me to read Tatooine Ghost (even TC likes it!). Another terrible SW book to stay away from is Yoda: Dark Rendezvous. A terrible Clone Wars book with a ridiculous little plot and as I recall, the author even tried to squeeze Anakin, Obi-wan, and Padme into it. Oh! Frodo91! Have you read this book?

^ I have it upstairs in my room somewhere.... My nani got it for me and I started reading it, and I got confused at a part, and when I'm confused I usually give up which is what I did. (I know, I'll never improve my reading ability at this rate. ) But I know I should pick it up again. And if you recommend it I'll have more incentive to.

New Jedi Order and Young Jedi Knights are fabulous! There're definately page turners, especially some of the NJO books.

I remember reading Star Wars: Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader and really enjoying it. I don't remember the specifics of the plot, but some of the book was from the perspective of Vader right after ROTS which was cool.

I still need to read Dark Lord. I've started it a few times, but haven't gotten to the point where I really get into it.
