ROLEPLAY RULES

These are the rules for the Echo Base Star Wars Roleplay:

1) Time is between ROTS and ANH, so NO Sith. Repeat: NO SITH. I formerly did not allow Jedi, but I'm relaxing that rule and you can have a former Jedi in hiding- one that escaped Order 66, left the Jedi Order, or some other reason why he/she is still alive.

  • You may have Rebels, smugglers, Imperials, bounty hunters, mercenaries, crime lords, soldiers, barons, or anything else.
    If you have an Imperial officer, I will set you up where you need to be. (eg, a star detroyer)
  • EDIT: We are currently not taking anymore Jedi characters. Only Jedi MINOR characters can be accepted. A minor character cannot be treated like a primary/main character.


2) There is no limit on how many characters you can make for a roleplay adventure, but don't go and create a character that you won't be using.

  • You will be posting every character's name and amount of money in your signature for moderators to pay you easily, so you don't want a bunch of characters cluttering your own profile.


3) Keep RP clean! This is a PG board, so don't make your character do or say immoral stuff. Don't post stuff you wouldn't want Shmi Skywalker to read. Also, no extreme violence. You can have tense fights, but no R-rated stuff.
NO IMPROPER PICTURES.

4) Don't kill of someone's character without their permission.
(unless you are an admin, and have that power to kill off a banned for good member) without the user's permission. That's what Roleplay discussion is for.

  • You can kill off any of your own characters whenever you wish.


5) All characters must be Star Wars-related. Sorry, no elves or orcs, but you can have a Wookiee or Twi'Lek if you want!


6) Do not RP in first person. There are 3 basic ways to RP:


  • Borga the Hutt slithers over to Atrasta. "You should give me the money now, or you'll be sorry, mercenary!"

  • *Borga slithers over to Atrasta* Give me the creds, or else!

  • I slithered over to the female mercenary. "Give me what I want, or this will be very unpleasant." I hissed.


We don't use first person here, especially since there's no character limit and that would get very confusing.

7) Don't have your character possess something unreasonable, like a super-power-bazuka-weapon-that-no-one-can-defeat. Mandalorian armor can be used on bounty hunters, but you cannot look like the one and only Boba Fett.

  • To keep people from buying Mandalorian weapons when ever they wish, Mandalore is passworded.


8) If your character is Force-sensitive then he/she cannot wield it properly [unless (see Rule 1)]. And he/she probably doesn't know about it. So no Mind Tricks, or anything that a Jedi can do. Your character will have quick reflexes and can see things before they happen, but that's all.

9) ALL characters must be staff-approved before entering RolePlay. A character must be accepted before you can begin RP.


Note: I will integrate each character into the RP if you wish. If you can't think of a way to get into RP, I will help you out.

ADDITIONAL ROLEPLAY RULES
You must follow these rules. Breaking them will result in being temp. banned and/or the deletion of your character.


1. Read the Board Rules (not just the RP rules).
2. Read these rules:

a) Your character can't read another person's thoughts.

b) You cannot just get things without buying and paying for them (other than what you start out with). You must go to a RP shop and buy whatever you need (there are plenty here).

c) When you buy something, you must subtract the amount of money you spent from your character's amount in your signature.

d) Your character can't be in two places at the same time. (however, you can buy things in the Misc. shops while your character is elsewhere, becuase the misc shops aren't really anywhere)

e) Your must post where you character goes (eg: *moves to streets* ) In other words, you can't be in a shop and suddenly end up in the street.

f) When traveling through space, you must post at least once in the ship you are in.

g) Your character can't do ridiculously impossible things; keep everything realistic.

h) Your character cannot harrass other characters. (eg. Putting a bounty on them for no good reason, attacking them for no reason, ect.). If you annoy some one else you will be warned and must stop.

i) Your character's thought must be displayed in italics or like this: :: Oh, no, not good!::
